The History Of Amity-Square.com



You've come to read the history of Amity Square! *claps* Well thank you firstly for visiting the site, I hope you really do share this experience with others to help us become more of a community <3 I'm not going to give you a history lesson on ancient Pokémon or anything, just the history of the beautiful Amity Square club website ~

Well it all started off on May 11, 2007 when the Buneary Club was created. This was the original Amity Square. It started off as a small 'no one knows about this site' club. It was inspired by the Pika Club on TPcenter [which is now Pokeshore.com owned by Torchic ~] I tried my absolute hardest to try and run two successful Pokémon websites, but it just didn't budge. After a while my obsession for Buneary slowly died away, even though I still think know it is an absolute gorgeous Pokémon; but Drifloon is just the way to go ><; While I was doing my daily browsing on Pokémon websites trying to find out some new information for the upcoming Pokémon game; Diamond & Pearl Version, I came across a page on Serebii.net and it was about Amity Square! It was beautifully done and the Pokémon who could go into this gorgeous little park were just the ones I loved ♥! That night I was thinking about Amity Square and an idea popped into my head, instead of having one club; why don't I have a Pokémon website dedicated to clubs & Pokémon information! The next morning I went and told my little brother, and he thought that the idea was great, so I went onto the computer and changed the site name to Amity Square. Amity Square was now created as an official club website ^^
I then started to re-vamp the site totally adding loads of information and little things like graphics. Then we stayed on Piczo for about another 3 months, then I decided I needed a change so the site moved to Freewebs! We moved to freewebs in September 2007. Once we had moved to freewebs the site started to get more recognized as a website, which is a good thing. It then lead onto us getting some new visitors, hits and affiliates! We also got our first affiliate the moment we moved to Freewebs; Kalos Milotica! I started to update the site a little bit more often than usual with some new updates and pages! Once Piplup-Princess was looking for a new host, I decided to look for a new host for Amity Square too. I told my best friend Waterdonky and she said that Eevee-Chan for Eeveeshq said that we could have a split subdomain. So I accepted the offer and moved to Eeveeshq Hosting <3 Because Piplup-Princess had already found a new host, I decided to stick with Waterdonky <33 Amity Square then moved from freewebs to Eeveeshq hosting and our site got a whole tonne of new pages, visitors, hits and everything ^^. We had been with Eeveeshq hosting for about 3 months when Team Blaze had a competition to win a domain, hosted but them [.com, .net .info, you name it xD] I got very excited and sent in an application to win a domain for Amity Square [there were to catches to this.. just thought I'd let ya know xD] And about 3 days later I had won the domain ^^; So for about 2 months I was planning to Move Amity-Square; then on 20th of January, 2008; Amity-Square had successfully moved to www.Amity-Square.com !! We have now got many successful clubs like the Torchic Club and The Drifloon Club ^^; Hopefully Amity-Square will be full of clubs very soon <3
On Amity Square's very first birthday I & Sweet Drifloon had released version two of Amity Square; this included a brand spanking new forum, and lots of information ♥!
